Though the construction of the church is not yet completed, we were honored when we were asked if a baptism could be done in Mackintyres Church. A young man from Iowa, who was graduating basic training and traveling back to his home in Iowa, made a stop at Mackintyres Church on Sunday, May 18th to be baptized. I can't tell you what an honor it was to have Scott and his family choose Mackies church for such an important ceremony. Scott raised the flag on the flag pole for the first time. How beautiful that sight was. Lt. Col. Ontman, Chaplain USAF performed the ceremony suited for a serviceman. Both a serviceman for our country and God. All of the men you see in the picture below gathered by the flag pole are proud veterans of our US Military. (Glen Garton, Steve VanHorn, Scott Greene, Rich Greene, Homer Ontman and CK McDill).
As you can see in the photos, progess is being made at the church, not only in the construction process but in the works of God. Praise the Lord for both.
